Painting light and atmosphere is the essence of my work. The love of nature compels me to work out of doors in all seasons and weather. To express that moment in time, the mood and light that has brought me to this particular subject, is what I hope to achieve as a painter.
To paint a subject is to know it intimately, to recall your experience, the lay of the land, the temperature, sounds, all that is visual and sensory.
